A beauty and two beasty cars made a match in heaven

Photo of the Antonov AN12 with the Audi A8 security car and a Mercedes G500

At 51 years (and 4 months), the beautiful Antonov AN12 proved the reliable solution when an Audi A8 security car and a Mercedes G500 (a powerful machine in extreme terrain) needed safe delivery from Germany to Rwanda.

As scheduled air cargo options to Africa are still limited and the timeline was tight, our Automotive Special Logistics team knew they had to look beyond the ordinary charter solutions to solve the task.

The Antonov AN12 was the perfect fit in terms of volume, cargo type and the distance it had to go.

A rare and beautiful sight!

Weighing a total of 6,249 kgs, the high-value cargo was loaded directly into the belly of the Antonov with a flatbed truck.

With everything from securing the proper warehousing space, and airport assessments to getting the required documentation in order with the authorities en-route, our Special Automotive Logistics team gave the scheduled flight from Frankfurt via Greece and Egypt the thumbs up.

Early in the morning, she was ready for take-off. Truly a rare sight and joy!

Maybe old-school, but still key to an entrepreneurial solution

In a close collaboration between our Automotive Special Logistics team and our onsite task force, our long-lasting customer received their cargo in just 1,5 days under the off-loading supervision of our designated cargo attendant.

Perfect communication between all parties involved, on the ground and in the air, guaranteed smooth flying and timely delivery.

And though, her dashboard would be considered old-school, it still rocks and made solving the challenge possible! We are always humbled to deliver by Antonov wings.

Pamatek purchases ocean biofuel for all their projected needs in 2024

Many companies aim to reduce their CO2 emissions to achieve their climate targets. At the beginning of the year, our long-standing customer, Danish Pamatek, purchased ocean biofuel for all their expected ocean freight from China in 2024 upfront. Their decision is a commitment to reducing their ocean freight emissions by 100%, and in doing so, they will also benefit from avoiding the EU ETS surcharge on ocean freight. Their commitment confirms that CO2-neutral transport is becoming increasingly crucial for competition.
