Rotterdam/Copenhagen, [April 13, 2026] – FincoEnergies and Scan Global Logistics (SGL) are strengthening their collaboration by implementing Biofuel Swap, a globally applicable solution for decarbonising road transport. With Biofuel Swap, SGL offers its customers immediate emissions reductions - with no changes to vehicles, infrastructure, or daily logistics operations – through utilising certified HVO100, a 100% biodegradable fuel, enabling verified, scalable CO₂e reductions. 

A two-week ceasefire announcement was announced on 8 April by the US, Israel and Iran, with the re-opening of the Hormuz Strait being a key component of the ceasefire agreement. The first 24 hours of the ceasefire have shown that the ceasefire itself is very fragile, and not least that there are conflicting views on key aspects of the agreement, not least in terms of whether a ceasefire in Lebanon was part of the scope or not.

Following the military strike by the US-Israel on Iran, and Iran’s subsequent retaliation on targeted US bases in the Middle East, between 28 February and 1 March 2026, we wish to provide you with an update on the short-term impact on global transportation and logistics flows.

​​Copenhagen, 28 February 2026: Despite a tough and unpredictable logistics market, Scan Global Logistics (SGL) came out of 2025 with both revenue growth and improved earnings, in line with expectations of EBITDA EUR 215m – EUR 220m.

Swissport, the world’s leading aviation services provider, has launched its first dedicated perishables centre in the United Kingdom at London Heathrow Airport (LHR). The new facility strengthens the company’s global cool-chain network and supports growing demand for fresh Atlantic salmon. Scan Global Logistics is the first customer to operate from the site.
