Scan Global Logistics signs agreement to acquire OIA Global in its largest-ever investment

Copenhagen, 28 October 2026: Scan Global Logistics (SGL) has signed an agreement to acquire OIA Global, a Portland, Oregon-based provider of end-to-end supply chain and logistics solutions. The transaction will be the largest investment in SGL’s history and will place the company among the top 20 freight forwarders in the world.

Founded in 1988, OIA Global employs more than 1,200 people across more than 60 offices in over 30 countries. Its capabilities span freight forwarding, customs brokerage, contract logistics, project logistics, 4PL, packaging design and materials management.

The acquisition will complement SGL’s existing offering while significantly strengthening its position in the United States and other strategically important markets. The combination will provide customers access to a broader global network and an expanded range of supply chain solutions, making it easier to manage increasingly complex supply chains.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals, and the companies will operate independently until closing. Closing is expected in Q1 2027.
