Golden Week 2026 Reminder: keep your supply chain moving during holiday closures

In mainland China, the Mid-Autumn Festival runs from 25–27 September, followed just a few days later by the National Day holiday from 1–7 October.

With only three working days between the two holidays, factories, suppliers, and logistics operations may close or run at reduced capacity for much of this period.

Capacity can also tighten before the holidays as businesses bring shipments forward. When operations resume, accumulated cargo and demand may take time to clear.

Holiday overview by region:

Mainland China:

• Mid-Autumn Festival: 25–27 September

• National Day: 1–7 October

Hong Kong:

• The day following the Mid-Autumn Festival: 26 September

• National Day: 1 October

• The day following the Chung Yeung Festival: 19 October

Taiwan:

• Mid-Autumn Festival and Teachers’ Day: 25–28 September

• Double Tenth Day: 9–11 October

• Taiwan Retrocession Day: 24–26 October

If you have shipments moving in or out of Greater China during this period, we recommend that you:

Book your shipments at least 14 days before the expected departure

Allow extra time for cargo clearance and delivery

Confirm your suppliers’ production and closure schedules

Support throughout the holiday
