    Scan Global Logistics further strengthens its Latin American presence
    Scan Global Logistics (SGL), the global logistics provider, continues its growth path in Latin America through a combination of new market entries, expansions and acquisitions. By opening new offices in Argentina and Colombia and improving service operations in Chile, Peru, and Mexico, the company is expanding product offerings and adding new competencies in new and existing locations. In addition, SGL recently signed the papers to acquire BLU Logistics in Brazil, a leading Brazilian freight forwarder that will add expertise mainly on the China and Southeast Asia trade lanes to SGL’s global network.

    Scan Global Logistics (SGL) continues its growth path in Latin America with the acquisition of Blu Logistics Brasil (Blu). The largest country in South America, Brazil is the world’s eighth-largest economy, holding immense potential for the global logistics provider. Blu Logistics was founded in 2013 and quickly established itself as a leading freight forwarder in Brazil, and boasting impressive growth rates of 27% and 47% in the last two years alone.
    Achieving net-zero target approval from the SBTi
    We are proud to announce that on Monday, July 29, 2024, our long-term and net-zero targets for 2050 were approved by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as one of only a few companies within the logistics industry. The approval means that SBTi confirms our efforts to achieve our targets align with the 1.5°C trajectory from the Paris agreement to reach net zero by 2050 or sooner. To new and existing customers with SBTi targets, the approval ensures a partnership with a leading sustainable logistics provider in decarbonising their supply chain.
