Expanding cross-border EV trucking in Malaysia together with Danfoss Climate Solutions

16 Mar, 2026

On 5 March 2026, we launched our second electric cross-border truck in Malaysia together with Danfoss Climate Solutions, marking a new milestone in our collaboration on low-emission transport between Malaysia and Singapore.

The new EV truck is dedicated to Danfoss Climate Solutions through a multi-year partnership and supports its efforts to reduce Scope 3 emissions in line with its LEAP 2030 sustainability targets, while increasing low-carbon transport capacity in daily cross-border operations.

“This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to deliver sustainably today while contributing to a cleaner and more resilient future,” said Grace You, Regional Category Manager, Danfoss Global Freight Procurement.

The launch builds on our introduction of the market’s first EV cross-border trucking solution between Malaysia and Singapore in July 2024. With Danfoss, that foundation is now being expanded through a dedicated set-up designed to combine lower emissions with operational reliability.

“Sustainability is not just a statement. It is a shared commitment,” says Rickard Ingvarsson, CEO Asia Pacific at Scan Global Logistics. “Together with our customers, we turn ideas into concrete solutions as we continue working towards more cost-efficient and CO₂-neutral transport and logistics solutions.”

Tailored for daily operations and visibility

The new 17-foot box truck is part of our low-carbon Con-X solution in Asia and carries up to 5.5 tonnes. Across the two trucks dedicated to this setup, the solution is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by 93.6 tonnes annually.

In addition to zero tailpipe emissions, the setup is managed through our dedicated operations centre and supported by specialist teams, TMS, telematics, and CO₂ calculation tools. This gives customers stronger visibility, clearer reporting, and better day-to-day control across the transport flow.

At the launch, Danfoss Climate Solutions also presented us with a recognition award for our contribution to their sustainability efforts.

“Being proactive and working closely with our customers is key to driving meaningful change, and it is especially rewarding when the hard work behind delivering low-carbon solutions is recognised,” says Martin Andersen, Global Head of Sustainability & ESG at Scan Global Logistics. "Implementing electric trucking on one of Asia’s busiest freight routes means the impact is real, and we are committed to collaborating to decarbonise high-volume routes."

With four electric trucks now in operation across China and Malaysia, we continue to scale practical low-carbon logistics solutions that help customers reduce emissions in real supply chains.
