Policies & Regulations

Global ESG

As a company, we are very focused on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), as it’s essential that we have a business model based on sustainable development.

Our group policies are guidelines and rules for compliance and behaviour in the SGL Group. These policies support us in our daily work to make the right decisions.

Serving the UN and NGOs

Since its incorporation, we have served many UN organisations and NGOs and have, at all times, conducted business within the realms of the ILO conventions.

Since 2015, we have been a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact. We operate our business following the Global Compact’s ten principles covering the four pillars: labour, environment, anti-corruption, and human rights.

We comply with all laws applicable to our business in all the regions and countries we operate in.

We do not operate or cooperate with or use the services of any company or organisation known to be involved in any illegal activities, including the supply and transportation of illegal weapons or the use of child labour.

Our values, ethics, and procedures are of the highest standard and something we are incredibly proud of. At the same time, we are also aware that there is always room for improvement in an ever-changing world and constantly strive to raise and improve the established standards.

UN Global Compact

We are a proud signatory to the UN Global Compact- since 2015, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.

Our commitment to the UN Global Compact:

  • Operate responsibly, in alignment with the universal sustainability principles
  • Take actions that support the society around you
  • Commit to the effort from our organisation’s highest level, pushing sustainability deep into our DNA
  • Report annually on our ongoing efforts
  • Engage locally where we are present
