Outsourcing – makes SGL a part of strategy
The Norwegian company, Favuseal AS, a producer of a revolutionary polymer-based passive fire protection technology, is outsourcing their transport and logistical needs to Scan Global Logistics (SGL).
Favuseal is an upcoming company that possesses considerable knowledge in the field of polymer technology for passive fire protection. They have strategically taken the step from an R & D and technology driven enterprise to full commercialization in the market via new and innovative products. With the strategy to have only core staff employed, they outsource several critical functions to reputable partners around the world.
SGL Norway will manage the warehousing & shipping function of Favuseal from Oslo for their Scandinavian clients. SGL Norway is also chosen as the partner for import and export procedures from Favuseal´s production sites in Europe.
“Currently we are working closely with Favuseal on the implementation and the set-up. We will be up and running in September. Favuseal is a very exciting company and I totally believe in their products. The way they are structured lays a foundation for further growth in the marketplace, and I believe that SGL Norway will be pivotal to their success. We are here to support their journey and their need to meet high customer demands coming from the oil and gas industry”,says Dag Ulstein, Managing Director SGL Norway.
When looking for a partner in transportation, Favuseal was searching for a partner that can deliver any quantity, anywhere in the world on relatively short notice. Quality and follow-up was essential and SGL were able to meet all our demands due to strict quality control, good HSE procedures, and a dedicated SGL-team in Norway to take care of business.
“SGL Norway was a natural choice for us based on our criteria of quality, HSE and speed of operation”, says Mr Svein Oscar at Favuseal Wire & Cable.
Favuseal serve a number of global customers with their unique technologies.
